Welcome to Tuesday Night Social

In March 2020, whilst under the banner of Phab Liverpool, our project was suspended due to the pandemic. Our project was suspended for 18 months and we took advantage of the lockdowns to evaluate our organisation. We felt like we needed to freshen things up and one of the ways to do this was to change our name.

It was decided that from Monday 1st November 2020, we would be known as Tuesday Night Social. When the lockdown restrictions were first introduced, we quickly started a virtual session, via Facebook video chat and then through Zoom.

Whilst it was good to catch up with friends, it just wasn't the same and we were all missing the social aspects of our project. We had members that we were not able to see for more than 18 months and it really did hit home how much we missed our Tuesday's at The Ark.

Our project opened in 2008 and through the years we have had many social evenings, weather it be a meal at various restraunts across the city, a ten-pin bowling night, a night at the movies or just a visit to the pub, we have always enjoyed our social activities.

For the majority of Tuesday nights throughout the calendar year, you can find us at The Ark in Liverpool 7. We don't have access to The Ark on the fourth Tuesday of each month however and given our new name, this will be our social night.

The image of our organisation may have changed but our ethos hasn't and we strive to create social and leisure opportunities for disabled people, that will help us reduce social isolation and hopefully have a positive impact on both the physical and mental wellbeing of our members and servcie users.
